How to manage heavy meals
  1. Hydrate:
  • Water is essential for digestion, especially with lemon. Lemon stimulates the gastric acids production
  • Drink 1 cup of warm water every hour and avoid large quantities during a meals as it dilutes the gastric acids and slows down the digestion
  1. Sip on herbal tea:
  • Ayurvedic medicine tea to aid digestion – cinnamon, black pepper, ginger, turmeric and fennel.
  1. Chew ginger:
  • Have a fresh small piece of fresh ginger 30 minutes before meals
